They come of course from Germany, but also from Albania, Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Chile, Cuba, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Denmark, Egypt, England, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Ghana, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, India, Iran, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Korea, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, Norway, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, USA, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and Zaire. 

It is our experience that translators naturally work with others who happen to be visiting as well. In a circle of people having the same qualifications and interests, it is inevitable that they think together informally and casually (but certainly productively), look things up, and exchange tips and tricks.

Many of our guests translate from or into German. Naturally the Kollegium welcomes translators with other language combinations as well.
